Overcoming a Problem & Taking Accountability

On November 22nd, the Sun entered Sagittarius where it formed a square (90 degree angle) to Saturn in Pisces, a planet about obstacles and responsibilities yesterday, November 23rd.

The Sun squaring Saturn suggests that it is time to bring something that has been difficult to the forefront of our conscious awareness & face it.

The Sun illuminates and makes things brighter. In this case, we are making brighter what we might not have wanted to deal with (all the drudgery and hardships that Saturn represents!)

This could be as simple as needing to face work or duties we’ve put by the wayside. Maybe it’s a bill you need to pay but have neglected. It could be the closet you have to clean or organize.

This could also be as heavy as facing a difficult truth- perhaps you or a loved one struggle with addiction & have been in denial or maybe you haven’t been as honest with yourself about your part in a situation.

Saturn asks us: where can I take responsibility or accountability?

If you’re prone to taking too much responsibility for things, try self-compassion instead.

Additionally, Mars, the god of war and how we are motivated, also entered Sagittarius this morning (November 24th) & makes a square to Saturn on Saturday, the 25th.

This could highlight a potential conflict in relationships that has been long overdue to address. Or maybe you have to work extra hard and patiently at something. It could also be a sign you need rest rather than push.

Don’t overdue or overplan. Make time & space for working through disagreements (nonviolent communication anyone?). And allow yourself to slow down to take care of the cobwebs that have been building up in a certain area of life that needs sweeping out.

The fact that both Mars, the Sun, and Saturn are in Jupiter-ruled signs (Sagittarius & Pisces) and the fact that Jupiter (a planet about peace and healing) is in Venus’s home sign of Taurus WHILE Venus (planet of connection and harmony) is in her other home sign of Libra, suggests that things will bode well…

that the situations that have felt sticky, heavy, or frustrating can be worked out when we commit to facing them with integrity & diligence.
