We’ll feel the energy of the Sun trining Neptune from the beginning of the week through Wednesday, the 9th. The Sun is our vital force -our sense of self and inner light. It’s who we know ourselves to be. Neptune is a planet just behind the veil. It can represent dreams, that which we see with rose colored glasses, that which we glamorize or idealize. Because of this, Neptune can confuse and make things unclear or foggy. Be careful of what you wish for, especially with a Solar Eclipse so near by. Things aren’t exactly as they appear. If you get something you’ve been yearning for with this aspect, it could be disappointing or turn out not to be the way you hoped. Our dreams and vision are twisted at this time - bent, unclear. Our perception isn’t to be trusted, especially with a debilitated Mercury in Sagittarius, the sign of its fall, being burned up by the rays of the Sun, also forming a square to Neptune. In addition to being confused with where we’re headed or disappointed with the outcome of something, our energy may be leaking - our vitality dwindling. If you can avoid responsibility this week, do so. Our bodies need rest and replenishment. If you’re feeling exhausted, it’s probably because you overdid it over the weekend. Try not to pile too much on your plate this week. You won’t have the energy or enthusiasm for it until Thursday.
The Sun forms a trine to Mars in Aries on Thursday, the 10th, replenishing our energy, giving us the confidence and vigor to accomplish - to go after something we were too scared to do - to be upfront. It could also give you the gusto to get things done you’ve been putting off or neglecting over the past few months. Mars is our energy, how we take action, fight, protect, and defend. You may find yourself being the martyr for the underdog and actively going after who you perceive to be the bad guy. It’s likely you’ll have a plethora of physical energy and a high sex drive. Go on an adventure if you can and use your body to your liking, whether that’s through sports, sex, dance, or other forms of movement.
By Sunday, Mercury is also coming up to the square to Neptune. This indicates problems with Mercurial things such as communicating, technology breakdowns, issues with our methods of transportation, or issues with siblings. Neptune makes things blurry, especially in square aspect. Don’t be surprised to find yourself in a mentally exhausted state or having missed a few details in your communications with others leading up to Sunday, the 13th. But, it’s likely we’ve been experiencing Mercurial issues for a while now, ever since Mercury came within about 8 degrees of the Sun, which was December 5th. Once again, Mercury is debilitated by being in Sagittarius, a sign that likes to think about the big picture, about possibilities, stories, and grandeur. Mercury, as a planet, wants to dissect, analyze, and get into the details, which are opposite tendencies to Sagittarius. Once again, this indicates issues with clarity of mind - feeling mentally blocked or unable to focus on details, facts, data, etc. Mercury is too close to the Sun to be seen, making Mercurial things invisible or blocked out by the Sun’s light. Look to the houses that Mercury rules - whichever houses have Virgo or Gemini on the cusp—Those house topics could be rather mysterious at this time or there may be unknown influences underway - things will become much clearer once Mercury gets at least 8 degrees away from the Sun, which is January 2nd.
